that I've been singing before ever leaving the womb and my mother being a Jazz vocalist and a dancer instilled
the groove in me naturally."
This young American jazz singer hails from Atlanta, Georgia. Her smooth contralto voice is particulary warm and sensitive and this is combined beautifully with incisive and trasparent phrasing. Her jazz background adds expression to her melodic phrasing, which is unique in its spontaneity, absorbing and fascinating.
Habakkah has taken part in numerous blues and jazz festivals all over the world and her voice is one of the most striking and gutsy in the current jazz and soul scene. Her passionated high spirited, spontaneous, nature are guaranteed to profondly affect all those who hear her.
